– Empowering Emerging Artists of Color
Are you an emerging visual artist of color under 35, living and working in Belgium? Ready to elevate your career, connect with a dynamic artistic community, and expand your network? POC POC 3 is a free, two-year mentorship program designed to help you achieve just that. Participants will showcase their work in a group exhibition at Kunsthal Mechelen and De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam, curate events, and lead panel discussions at De Cinema in Antwerp, among other activities. Applications for the 2025-2026 edition are now open!

WHAT IS POC POC
POC POC 3 is a mentorship program that supports 15 emerging visual artists of color from February 2025 to December 2026. Throughout 19 Friday sessions, from 10 to 13h, across Flanders, participants will attend workshops, be introduced to key partner institutions, and develop essential skills to navigate the art world.

Additionally, you will gain access to knowledge and unique professional opportunities through collaborations with institutions such as Kunsthal Mechelen, De Brakke Grond, De Cinema, WIELS, Globe Aroma, MORPHO, De Veerman, Curatorial Studies KASK, Kunsthal Gent, Kunsthal Extra City, S.M.A.K., STORMOPKOMST.

We are looking for visual artists of color under 35 who live and work in Belgium. Please note that students are not eligible due to the program’s time commitment. This program specifically focuses on visual arts, creating a dedicated space for those in this field. Artists working in music, literature, dance, fashion, theatre or design are encouraged to seek other programs catering to their disciplines.
